Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology show that in the first quarter of this year, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 13.6% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 7.5 percentage points and 1.1 percentage points higher than the industrial and high-tech manufacturing industries in the same period.
In March, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 12.5% year-on-year. Among the main products, the output of smartphones was 298 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6.9%; the output of integrated circuits was 127.2 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 24.3%.
In the first quarter, the cumulative export delivery value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 4.2% year-on-year, an increase of 3 percentage points from January and February. In the first quarter, the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size achieved operating income of 4.31 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%; operating costs were 3.69 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.7%.
