The reporter learned from the Beijing Border Inspection General Station that the number of inbound and outbound personnel at Beijing port continued to maintain a high level three days before the May Day holiday this year. From May 1 to May 3, the Beijing Border Inspection General Station inspected and released a total of 162,000 inbound and outbound personnel, an increase of 21.5% year-on-year.
From the entry direction, with the continuous optimization of entry policies, strong demand for vacation and tourism, and increased international flight capacity, the number of foreigners entering the Beijing port at the three days before the May Day holiday this year reached 27,000, an increase of 80.8% year-on-year. Among them, more than 7,200 foreigners entering the Daxing International Airport Port, doubled year-on-year. Among the foreigners entering the country, 16,000 people enjoyed the convenience policy of visa-free and 240-hour temporary entry permits, accounting for 60.1% of the number of foreigners entering the country, an increase of 2.2 times year-on-year, and the policy dividends continued to be released.
According to forecasts, the Beijing ports will usher in an entry peak on May 5 and 6, with an average daily incoming number of people expected to reach 33,000.
