Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, February 26. The 31st Chairman's Meeting of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was held in Beijing on the 26th. Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, presided over and delivered a speech.

The meeting conveyed, studied and implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s recent important speeches and instructions. Wang Huning said that the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core attaches great importance to the work of the CPPCC. General Secretary Xi Jinping has made many important instructions and put forward clear requirements recently, providing a fundamental guideline for doing a good job in the CPPCC. We must deeply study and understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions, insist on taking Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the general outline for overall planning of the work of the CPPCC, implement the Party’s overall leadership over the CPPCC, deeply understand the decisive significance of the “two establishments”, and resolutely implement the “two safeguards”. We must thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the private enterprise symposium, organize CPPCC members to conduct extensive research and in-depth consultation on promoting the healthy development and high-quality development of the private economy, and lead private enterprises to contribute to the promotion of Chinese-style modernization. We must thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during his inspection in Liaoning and listening to the work reports of the Jilin Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, conduct in-depth research on key issues in promoting the comprehensive revitalization of the Northeast in the new era, and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions. The meeting reviewed and approved the list of executive chairman and hosts of each plenary session of the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC, and listened to the report on the preparations for the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC. Wang Huning said that we must conscientiously implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on holding the National Two Sessions well, keep the correct political direction of the meeting, plan and organize it carefully, give full play to the main role of CPPCC members, improve the level of work of making suggestions and building consensus, gather wisdom and strength, convey confidence and strength, and ensure the successful meeting.

The meeting reviewed and passed the decision to revoke Xue Jingxia's qualifications as a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and submitted it to the 10th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for ratification.

The Chairman's Meeting held its first collective study in 2025, with the theme of "Promoting the Comprehensive Revitalization of Rural Areas". Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Han Jun was invited to give a report.
