Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, April 17 (Reporter Jiang Lin) The reporter learned from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on April 17 that from April 1, direct settlement of work-related injury insurance for medical treatment across provinces and other places will be carried out in all prefecture-level cities. Relying on the national work-related injury insurance medical settlement information system, all localities have gradually realized the direct settlement of work-related injury medical expenses for cross-provincial and off-site medical treatment, hospitalization work-related injury rehabilitation expenses and auxiliary equipment configuration expenses with social security cards.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Finance, and the National Health Commission recently issued a notice, clarifying the relevant benefits policies, medical procedures, filing procedures, fee settlement scope and requirements for cross-provincial and off-site medical treatment after the full implementation. At the same time, it was clarified that by the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, all third-level work-related injury agreement medical institutions and rehabilitation and auxiliary device configuration agreement institutions will be gradually achieved in three steps.
The notice requires that workers who have participated in work-related injury insurance and have completed work-related injury recognition, work-related injury recurrence confirmation, work-related injury rehabilitation confirmation or auxiliary device configuration confirmation can apply for direct settlement of cross-provincial and off-site medical treatment related expenses. The human resources and social security department shall implement filing management for those who have raised the needs of medical treatment in other places, and shall do a good job in the management of medical treatment funds and the construction of information systems in other places.
