9 cities are included in the comprehensive pilot program for expanding opening up of the service industry

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, April 11 (Reporters Zhang Xiaojie and Xie Xiyao) The State Council’s approval of the “Comprehensive Pilot Work Plan for Accelerating the Expansion of Opening Up the Service Industry” was released on the 11th. According to the plan, based on the existing pilot areas, nine cities including Dalian, Ningbo, Xiamen, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Hefei, Fuzhou, Xi'an and Suzhou will be included in the pilot scope.

According to the approval requirements, the implementation of the work plan should focus on the needs of further comprehensive deepening of reform, promoting Chinese-style modernization, serving the construction of a modern economic system and the development of new quality productive forces, give new content and new tasks to a new round of comprehensive pilot projects for expanding opening up of the service industry, actively connect with international high-standard economic and trade rules, carry out in-depth reform and innovation exploration, boldly try and break through, expand independent opening up in an orderly manner, release the potential of super-large-scale markets, accumulate more replicable and popularizable experience, promote the high-quality development of the service industry, and make greater contributions to the construction of a new open economy at a higher level. The approval clearly states that all pilot areas should strengthen organizational leadership in the implementation of the work plan, further improve the pilot management system, optimize the working mechanism of coordination and linkage and strong guarantee, strengthen talent training and the construction of a high-quality and professional management team, promote the implementation of pilot tasks, and better play a leading role in the open, innovative development of the service industry in the country.
