CCTV News: According to the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, on March 21, in response to the "Yang Mingyu braised chicken and rice in the kitchen" incident, the State Council Food Safety Office and the State Administration for Market Regulation summoned the Deputy Mayors of the People's Governments of Jinan City, Shandong Province, Zhengzhou City and Shangqiu City, Henan Province.
The interview pointed out that food safety is related to the physical health and life safety of the general public. The "Yang Mingyu braised chicken and rice in the kitchen" incident exposed the problems of failure to effectively implement the main responsibilities of enterprises, inadequate implementation of local food safety management responsibilities, and shortcomings and loopholes in food safety management, which aroused widespread attention from the society and seriously affected the people's sense of food safety.
The interview requirements are that Jinan City, Zhengzhou City and Shangqiu City should improve their political stance, deeply understand the importance of food safety, and effectively enhance their sense of responsibility, urgency and mission; they should actively and steadily deal with the "Yang Mingyu braised chicken and rice in the kitchen", thoroughly punish illegal and irregular behaviors, and seriously hold the relevant responsible units and individuals accountable; they should deeply learn from the lessons of the incident, and take this opportunity to strive to improve the level of food safety and effectively ensure the "safety on the tip of the tongue" of the people.
The Food Safety Office of the State Council will conduct on-site inspections and supervise the rectification and implementation of Jinan, Zhengzhou and Shangqiu.
