The blue book "Development Status and Trends of China's Medical Equipment (2024)" shows that in 2024, the total import and export trade of my country's medical equipment was US$79.1 billion, an increase of 0.71% year-on-year. Among them, the total import trade volume was US$35.1 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.07%, and the export trade volume was US$44 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.85%. In 2024, while my country's medical equipment industry has grown rapidly in its market size, its industrial innovation capabilities have been continuously improved. Intracardiac ultrasound imaging systems, a number of surgical robots, proton heavy ion treatment systems, etc. have been approved for the first time in China.
In recent years, my country's medical equipment enterprises have accelerated the research and development of core technologies, basically achieving independent and controllable high-end medical equipment, and some products and technologies have reached the international leading level. At present, a product system of more than 1,100 categories has been formed in 22 major categories, making it one of the countries with the most complete product categories and varieties in the world.
