Zhang was a public official from a foreign institution in my country before the incident. During his tenure abroad, he frequently went to high-end places. At a banquet, Zhang met with Li, a member of an overseas entrepreneur association. While drinking and chatting, the two gradually became familiar with each other and their friendship became deeper and deeper. Under the command of overseas spy intelligence agencies, Li carefully designed a "sex script kill" for Zhang and invited Zhang to go to a local erotic place to solicit prostitution. After being arrested on the spot by the so-called "local law enforcement officers", Zhang could only ask for help from Li. While pretending to comfort him, Li asked the "brothers" who were acting as personnel from overseas spy intelligence agencies to quickly arrive at the scene. After several negotiations, Zhang "regained his freedom." Overseas spy intelligence agencies secretly recorded the entire process and used this as a threat to coerce Zhang to cooperate with him to collect internal information in our country. Zhang reached a "cooperation" under the coercion and temptation of overseas spy intelligence agencies. He used his work convenience to provide overseas spy intelligence agencies with a large amount of confidential information within my country through printing, taking photos, writing, oral statements, and collecting large amounts of funds provided by the other party. As he was about to leave office and return to China, Zhang even signed a "commitment letter" with overseas spy intelligence agencies, agreeing to continue working and providing intelligence to the other party after returning to China, causing harm to my country's national security. After careful investigation by the state security organs, criminal coercive measures were taken against Zhang in accordance with the law after returning to China. In the end, Zhang was severely punished by law for providing state secrets to overseas spy intelligence agencies. The state security organs remind that according to Article 55 of the Counter-espionage Law of the People's Republic of China, if they are coerced or deceived abroad, participate in spy organizations or hostile organizations, engage in activities that endanger the national security of the People's Republic of China, truthfully explain the situation to the foreign agencies of the People's Republic of China in a timely manner, or truthfully explain the situation to the national security organs directly or through their units after entering the country, and show repentance, they may not be investigated.
