The China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises released data today showing that the small and medium-sized enterprise development index in February was 89.8, up 0.8 points from January. Among them, sub-item indexes, sub-industry indexes and sub-regional indexes rose across the board.
The high operating rate of enterprises has increased. In February, 52.5% of enterprises that started fully started, up 7.2 percentage points from the previous month; 11.8% of the start-up rate between 75% and 100%, down 0.1 percentage point from the previous month; 14.9% of the start-up rate between 50% and 75%, down 0.6 percentage points from the previous month; 11.1% of the start-up rate was less than 50%, down 4.5 percentage points from the previous month; 9.8% of the start-up rate was not started, down 2.0 percentage points from the previous month.
The sub-item index rose across the board. In February, the macroeconomic experience index, comprehensive operating index, market index, cost index, labor index and investment index continued to rise, up 0.5, 1.1, 0.8, 0.2, 0.6 and 0.4 points from the previous month. The capital index and efficiency index turned from decline to increase, up 1.0 and 1.3 points respectively from the previous month. The prosperity level of small and medium-sized enterprises remains on the rise.
The index of industry has risen across the board. In February, the indexes of industry, transportation, real estate, wholesale and retail, social services, and information transmission software continued to rise, up 0.7, 0.5, 0.4, 1.1, 0.5 and 0.8 points from the previous month respectively. The indexes of construction and accommodation and catering industries turned from decline to increase, up 0.8 and 1.0 points respectively from the previous month. The industry is operating steadily.
The regional index rose across the board. In February, the development index of small and medium-sized enterprises in the eastern, central, western and northeastern regions was 90.6, 90.5, 88.9 and 81.8, respectively, up 0.9, 0.6, 0.8 and 0.8 points from the previous month, respectively.
