Guan Zhiou said that we have firmly maintained the 1.8 billion mu of arable land red line, providing important support for continuous bumper grain harvests. To do a good job in protecting arable land, we must focus on these three aspects: first, stabilize quantity and strengthen supervision; second, improve quality and layout; third, improve ecology and benefit people's livelihood. We must coordinate arable land protection and rural ecological governance, reproduce rural beauty through scientific planning, and make appreciation of pastoral scenery and the taste of childhood a new fashion for people's lives.
The protection of cultivated land is a systematic project that requires resolute control of illegal land occupation with hard measures for long teeth, and the whole society needs to jointly establish a sense of conservation and intensiveness, and occupy less or no farmland from the source. At the same time, we must consciously accept media supervision, resolutely defend and maintain the 1.8 billion mu of arable land red line with more pragmatic measures, so that China's job can be held more steadily and firmly.
