CCTV News: The reporter learned from the China Engineering Machinery Industry Association that the latest data shows that in February this year, my country's excavator sales increased by more than 50% year-on-year.
Statistics of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association for major excavator manufacturing companies showed that 19,270 excavators of various types were sold in February 2025, an increase of 52.8% year-on-year. From January to February this year, a total of 31,782 excavators were sold, an increase of 27.2% year-on-year; 14,737 were exported, an increase of 7.37% year-on-year.
A relevant person in charge of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association said that from January to February this year, the sales of excavators continued the growth trend in the second half of last year. The main reason for the large increase is that since the beginning of this year, the domestic excavator market has shown a rebound and positive trend under the promotion of the country's effective implementation of the existing policies and the intensification package of incremental policies, mainly due to the increase in demand for excavators below 20 tons, and the sales volume has increased significantly, thanks to factors such as large-scale equipment renewal policies and new rural construction. In addition, the global competitiveness of Chinese excavator manufacturing companies has improved, and their export volume has continued to increase compared with the same period last year. Overall, excavator sales have achieved a "good start" this year.
