CCTV News: In the past two days, snowfall has occurred in many places in Xinjiang, which has affected people's travel and life. The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that starting from March 10, a new cold air will affect China from west to east.
Affected by the continuous snowfall, an avalanche occurred on a section of Guozigou, G30 Lianhuo Expressway, Yili, Xinjiang at around 12 noon on the 9th.
The reporter saw snow at the scene. The snow had completely covered the guardrails that had crossed the road, and even hit the opposite side of the road. A moving truck was also hit by the snow. Now, the traffic police and some others are helping to dig and clean up the car.
After receiving the notice, the local highway rescue team arrived at the avalanche point as soon as possible and carried out road rushing work through mechanical and manual cleaning. As of 13:00 that day, the snow on the road had been cleared, the vehicles left in an orderly manner, and the G30 Lianhuo Expressway resumed normal traffic.

Starting from the early morning of the 8th, snowfall occurred in the Kanas scenic area of Altay, and houses, roads and other facilities in the scenic area were covered with heavy snow. The local traffic police department carried out traffic diversion at major intersections, and at the same time adopted the method of police cars leading the lane to lead tourists and vehicles out of the scenic area. On the night of the 7th, cooling and snow also occurred in Urumqi. The local railway department quickly launched an emergency plan for severe weather and organized personnel to carry out snow removal and ice removal work. At Urumqi Station, railway staff cleaned the snow on the station in a timely manner, sent additional personnel in the waiting hall to guide passengers.
The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that starting from the 10th, a new cold air will affect China from west to east. From the 10th to the 12th, the temperature in Xinjiang and most areas of central and eastern China will drop by 4-6 degrees Celsius, and the cooling range in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and southern Northeast China can reach 8-10 degrees Celsius. Starting from the 11th, moderate to heavy snow will occur in eastern Inner Mongolia and Northeastern regions, and local blizzards will occur. Rainfall in Jianghuai, Jianghan, Jiangnan, South China and other places will also increase.
