Industry is towards green, ecology is towards beauty. This year's government work report proposes to coordinate the promotion of carbon reduction, pollution reduction and green growth, and accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.
From my country building the world's largest and most complete new energy industry chain, to achieving full coverage of emission reduction entities in the national carbon market system, to the accelerated promotion of the construction of "waste-free cities"... In recent years, the results of my country's comprehensive green transformation of the economy and society are obvious to all.
Supporting comprehensive green transformation, policy guidance is the key. Documents such as "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Green Development of Manufacturing Industry" and "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Accelerating the Comprehensive Green Transformation of Economic and Social Development" have been successively issued and implemented, providing clear guidance for my country's comprehensive green transformation. This year, the "two new" policies have been strengthened to expand, further empower the innovation and upgrading of traditional industries and boost confidence in development.
All localities will accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development and continuously improve the "green content" of development. Data shows that since its unveiling in 2019, the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone has launched a total of 154 institutional innovation achievements, and 52 institutional innovation experiences are replicated and promoted nationwide. Last year, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Technology Eco Port started construction, striving to form a 100 billion yuan industrial scale within 3 to 5 years, and contribute to promoting the transformation of the regional automobile industry electrification, intelligence and networking.
In the process of comprehensive green transformation, new opportunities for my country's economic development have also emerged. In the field of energy, my country insists on developing clean and efficient utilization of non-fossil energy and coal. In the field of daily consumption, low-carbon and environmentally friendly products and transportation are becoming the "priority options" for consumers. By jointly promoting carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion and growth, my country has gradually formed an industrial structure with high technological content, low resource consumption and low environmental pollution.
At present, my country's comprehensive green transformation pace of economy and society is solid and has more development potential, which fully proves that ecological protection and economic development have never been opposite each other, but are dialectically unified and complementary. In this sense, improving the "green content" of development is to improve the "gold content" of high-quality development.
However, in the process of comprehensive green transformation of the economy and society, my country still faces some challenges, such as insufficient maturity of some new energy technologies and a poor mechanism for realizing the value of ecological products. To this end, we need to further strengthen the background of green development and promote economic development toward green.
To promote economic development toward greening, you might as well make efforts in strengthening scientific and technological innovation, improving market mechanisms, and improving standard systems to provide institutional guarantees and innovative momentum for comprehensive green transformation. For example, use policies and systems to ensure the platform and patient capital required for technological innovation; improve the value realization mechanism for ecological products, promote the construction of carbon market; accelerate the update and upgrading of energy-saving standards, improve the renewable energy standard system and industrial green low-carbon standard system, etc. In addition, we must fully consider the development reality of different regions and industries, adhere to the combination of coordinated promotion and key breakthroughs, and scientifically set the timetable, roadmap, and construction drawings for green transformation.
