CCTV News: With the continuous introduction of a series of policies to facilitate foreign personnel to come to China, and the popularity of Chinese movies abroad, the inbound and outbound passenger flow at Xiamen Port has increased significantly. Data from the Gaoqi Border Inspection Station of Xiamen Border Inspection General Station shows that as of March 5, the inbound and outbound passenger flow at Xiamen Port in 2025 has exceeded 1 million, an increase of more than 20% year-on-year, setting a record for breaking the million-dollar mark in five years.
On the morning of March 5, several international flights at Gaoqi International Airport arrived one after another. Passengers walked into the border inspection hall one after another to prepare for entry procedures.
Driven by favorable policies for entry and exit and increasing international flights, the number of international flights and passenger flow at Xiamen Port continues to rise, and more and more foreign passengers choose to enter and exit through Xiamen Port.
As of March 5, the Gaoqi Border Inspection Station has inspected more than 170,000 foreign passengers entering and leaving the country, an increase of nearly 20% over the same period in 2024. More than 3,000 qualified foreign passengers enjoyed the transit visa-free policy.
As of now, Xiamen Port International and Region have 28 regular direct passenger routes, with the end points covering many countries and regions such as Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania. Since 2025, four cruise ships visiting the port have arrived in Xiamen one after another, and a total of more than 2,200 inbound and outbound passengers have been inspected.
