CCTV News: According to the State Immigration Administration, recently, the State Immigration Administration of China has strengthened practical cooperation with Thailand's immigration law enforcement departments to jointly crack down on cross-border illegal and criminal activities such as smuggling. In the spirit of mutual respect and equal consultation, it has improved the level of law enforcement cooperation and achieved positive results in information notification and repatriation of illegal entry and exit personnel.
The Chinese government firmly opposes any form of smuggling activities. According to relevant Chinese laws and regulations, illegal crossing of national borders and organizing and transporting others to cross national borders are illegal and criminal acts. Public security organs and immigration management agencies continue to crack down on illegal and criminal acts that hinder national (border) management in accordance with the law, and hold the planners and organizers of smuggling activities legally responsible in accordance with the law. At the same time, we actively participate in the global governance of illegal immigration, strengthen international law enforcement cooperation, work with relevant countries to respond to the challenges brought by cross-border illegal and criminal activities such as smuggling, ensure the safe and orderly cross-border movement of Chinese and foreign personnel in accordance with the law, and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of inbound and outbound personnel.
