In 2024, the GDP of the National High-tech Zone Park exceeded 19 trillion yuan, accounting for more than 14% of the country. Among them, the added value of industrial enterprises was 9.8 trillion yuan, accounting for more than 24% of the country.
In terms of industrial scientific and technological innovation, in 2024, the R&D funding and the number of invention patents owned by the National Hi-tech Zone enterprises accounted for about half of the country. Original technologies and first-release products such as embodied general artificial intelligence system prototypes, on-chip brain-computer interface intelligent interaction systems, and first-release products are constantly emerging. Future industries such as quantum information, humanoid robots, and the next generation of the Internet have also initially formed development advantages.
In terms of open cooperation, in 2024, the total import and export of goods and services trade in the National High-tech Zone was approximately 9.5 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.5% year-on-year, of which the total export volume was 6 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.1% year-on-year.
Yao Jun, Director of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said: "In the next step, we will promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, build first-class high-tech parks and industrial innovation highlands, and accelerate the construction of innovation-driven development demonstration zones, new quality productivity leading zones and high-quality development pilot zones."
