The planting area of ​​winter wheat in Jiangsu is more than 36 million mu, and the proportion of first-class and second-class wheat seedlings in the province increased by 12.4 percentage points compared with before wintering. Suqian Suyu District is a county in the country that promotes the overall system of large-scale wheat yield improvement, with an annual wheat planting area of ​​450,000 mu.

In the wheat field, multiple intelligent equipment such as insect detection lights, spore automatic capture system, insect radar are installed. These equipment will be used for the prevention and control of wheat pests and diseases.

Experts said that local winter wheat has uneven growth, strong and weak seedlings coexist, and there are still many barriers to achieving a bumper harvest. All localities should implement precise measures according to the time and seedlings. Spray growth regulators for winter wheat growing plots in time to promote uniform and strong seedlings; weak seedlings should strengthen water and fertilizer management to promote weakening and strengthening; plots with insufficient surface moisture should be watered early and irrigated reasonably to build a good shelf for high yields. At the National Spring Agricultural Production Work Conference, a relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Water Resources said that the total water storage volume of 9,520 key reservoirs across the country has reached 481.5 billion cubic meters, effectively ensuring the demand for spring irrigation. At present, spring irrigation has been carried out in large areas across the country.

As of mid-March, 16 provinces across the country have started irrigation, with a cumulative irrigation area exceeding 64 million mu. Among them, more than 1,400 large and medium-sized irrigation areas have been opened.

Shandong, a major grain province, is using large and medium-sized irrigation areas and water diversion projects to rush to store more Yellow River water, coordinate the dispatch and allocate various water sources, scientifically formulate irrigation water plans, and make every effort to ensure the use of water for spring plowing and irrigation. At present, 122 large and medium-sized irrigation areas have started spring irrigation work, with a total of 1.232 billion cubic meters of water storing and covering an area of ​​16.6575 million mu.

At present, multiple digital twin irrigation areas are taking the lead in trying out, and optimize the allocation of water resources through information monitoring and perception of water conditions, industrial conditions, soil moisture conditions, and agricultural conditions.

The reservoir currently stores 97.97 million cubic meters of water in Ouyanghai Irrigation District, Hunan, and is implementing channel spring maintenance, equipment maintenance, dredging and other work, providing irrigation water guarantee for 400,000 mu of early rice spring irrigation.

Yin Liming, deputy director of Hunan Water Resources Department, introduced that during the irrigation season, they use information technology to predict the water demand in the irrigation area, scientifically release water and precise irrigation, and avoid flooding. Open up the "last mile" and ensure food security through small water sources recovery to ensure smooth flow from the water source to the field.

Farmland irrigation in Liaoning Province will begin one after another in late April. The irrigation area is expected to be more than 16 million mu in 2025, and the water consumption of spring irrigation is about 2.5 billion cubic meters.

Feng Dongxin, director of the Liaoning Water Resources Department, introduced that the current water storage capacity of large reservoirs is 16.8 billion cubic meters, 4.48 billion cubic meters more than usual; the medium-sized reservoirs are 980 million cubic meters, 190 million cubic meters more than usual, so that this year's spring irrigation agricultural water use can be guaranteed.
