The State Entry and Exit Administration shall implement two convenient policies from March 20, providing verification services for "double certificate association" between the Taiwanese compatriots' certificate and the Taiwan residents' residence permit, and issuing electronic temporary passes for Taiwanese compatriots in need. This measure to solve practical and difficult things that concern Taiwanese compatriots once again shows that the mainland has always taken the interests of profits and benefits for Taiwanese compatriots.

In recent years, the mainland has continuously improved systems and policies to ensure that Taiwanese compatriots and Taiwanese enterprises enjoy equal treatment in the mainland, and has successively introduced measures to benefit Taiwan and the people to promote cross-strait economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation. Taiwanese compatriots must have felt this kind of goodwill.

In 2024, the number of Taiwanese compatriot certificates issued, the number of Taiwanese compatriots entering the mainland, and the number of Taiwanese compatriots settled in the mainland all increased significantly. The tourism experience is good, there are many development opportunities, and measures to benefit Taiwan are strong, attracting more Taiwanese compatriots to participate widely in cross-strait exchanges and exchanges.

Exchange and exchanges are the expectations and needs of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and are in line with the interests and well-being of compatriots on Taiwan. From resuming the handling of travel visas for Fujian residents to Kinmen and Mazu, to increasing the number of passenger routes on cross-straits of "small three connections"; from providing legal identification services in Taiwan to expand the scope of directly recognizing professional skills qualifications, the mainland continues to deepen cross-strait personnel exchanges and the integrated development of various fields.

The "Government Work Report" reviewed and passed at the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress proposed to "improve the system and policies to promote cross-strait economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation", which means that the mainland will provide more solid guarantees for cross-strait exchanges and cooperation through more innovative and complete policies and measures.

Communication and communication are also an effective channel to reduce misunderstandings and enhance consensus. Due to different growth environments, people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait have different views on some issues. Because of this, it is necessary to strengthen understanding through exchanges. After many Taiwanese compatriots came to the mainland in person, they believed that their compatriots were enthusiastic and kind, and they also had a real feeling about the development of the mainland.

Based on the previous launch of the "Several Measures on Promoting Cross-Strait Economic and Cultural Exchange and Cooperation" and the "Several Measures on Further Promoting Cross-Strait Economic and Cultural Exchange and Cooperation", the mainland has continued to provide convenience for Taiwanese compatriots in recent years, and has a warm cross-strait exchange, which has played an important role in enhancing the friendship between compatriots, maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, and promoting the development of cross-strait relations.

In contrast, the DPP authorities have been confusing the public and attempting to confuse the Taiwanese resident residence permit and mainland resident ID cards to mislead and intimidate Taiwanese people, create a "chilling effect", restrict Taiwanese compatriots from applying for mainland documents, and interfere with normal cross-strait exchanges.

The Taiwan Residence Permit is a document proving the identity of Taiwanese compatriots in order to meet the needs of studying, entrepreneurship, employment and living in the mainland. It does not involve adjustments to political rights and obligations. To apply for a Taiwan resident residence permit, you do not need to have a mainland household registration, nor do you need to give up your Taiwan household registration, and you will fully adopt the principle of voluntary action and there are no mandatory requirements.

The mainland has always welcomed Taiwanese compatriots to come and visit on-site, and see it as a reality, so that more Taiwanese compatriots are willing to come, stay, integrate and develop well. As the people on the island become more and more objective in their understanding of the mainland, the smear lies fabricated by the DPP authorities are self-defeating. I believe that more Taiwanese compatriots will respond to the goodwill of the mainland, devote themselves to cross-strait exchanges, and use their own actions to help the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.
