CCTV News: In Changsha, Hunan, the first batch of five 9,000-ton gas-film granaries in my country will be inflatable on May 5, marking that my country's fourth-generation new granaries have officially entered the practical application stage. Compared with traditional reinforced concrete granaries, the biggest difference between this air film silo is that it is inflatable and molded like a blowing balloon. How did this big guy with a diameter of 24 meters and a height of 33 meters inflated? Immediately follow CCTV reporters to the scene to take a look.
In the Changsha warehouse of China National Grain and Oils Reserves Corporation, the 5th gas membrane warehouse has just been inflated and formed. A tall warehouse like this can be inflated and molded in as fast as just over 20 minutes. They look white, fat and cute, but their skills are really extraordinary. First of all, they look at their size. Each of them has a diameter of 24 meters and a height of 33 meters. One warehouse can store 9,000 tons of grain. What is this concept? The food stored in this warehouse can meet the food for 23 million people a day.
Is it safe to blow a large airbag to store food? Of course it won’t be that simple, there is still a big fuss in the “belly” of the granary. Before the overall construction is completed, this behemoth is inflating to make it stand upright and the air pressure difference between the inside and outside granaries is very large. To enter, you must pass through two doors inside and outside. First enter the outside door, close it before opening the inside door and entering. The huge air pressure difference makes it take a lot of effort to push open the outside door. Near this small window, you can see the reporter's clothes being blown by the strong wind. According to the staff, after opening the door, the gushing wind can reach the intensity of strong winds of level 7 or 8. Due to safety regulations, the reporter had to enter this second door.
Through the lens inside the warehouse, you can see that the space in the warehouse is very spacious, much larger than the area of a basketball court. There are no beams or columns in the entire warehouse, and the space utilization rate is higher. The huge dome on the upper part is very magnificent. After put into use, the grain falls evenly into the warehouse through the conveyor belt from the entrance on the dome. After the outer membrane is inflatable and molded, the entire construction process will be carried out in the membrane in the later stage. The construction process is highly mechanized, safe and environmentally friendly, and is almost unaffected by the environment and weather, and the construction cycle is greatly shortened. Construction workers are tying steel bars, and then the construction of the concrete layer will eventually form a solid reinforced concrete wall, which will play a strong support role.
In addition to the air film layer and reinforced concrete layer, the other polyurethane layer on the silo wall plays a role in insulation. After put into use, many sensors are evenly distributed in the grain pile, real-time monitoring of the grain temperature of the entire warehouse. Nitrogen gas regulation technology is also integrated in the gas membrane bin, injecting high-purity nitrogen into the grain pile to create an almost oxygen-free environment to achieve the purpose of insect prevention and preservation. Staff told reporters that it is expected that all of these gas membrane tanks will be completed by the end of this year and will be put into use in February next year.
