Relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Education said that this year, the special rectification of "campus meals" will be deepened, focusing on: (I) Consolidate the main responsibilities of primary and secondary schools, and focus on strengthening the awareness of principals' "first responsible person"; (II) Keep a close eye on key links such as food procurement, distribution, inspection, storage, and processing, strengthen standardized and refined management, strictly implement the funding management system, and improve the safety risk prevention and control system; (II) Strengthen supervision supervision, unblock the mechanism for feedback and complaints between teachers and students, promote the general establishment of dietary supervision parent committees in primary and secondary schools, and strengthen the role of parent supervision; (IV) The guarantee system focuses on full implementation, and we must continue to increase investment in school canteen funds and facilities and equipment, strengthen personnel training, and promote the informatization of school food safety.

It is understood that since the special rectification of outstanding issues in food safety and dietary funding management of primary and secondary school campuses in May 2024, a total of 10.3 billion yuan has been invested across the country to improve school canteens, and the coverage rate of "Internet + open kitchen and bright stove" has reached 98.5%. Special rectification statistics show that there are currently 167,300 primary and secondary schools nationwide that use canteens to provide meals (70.75%).
