Ancient cities across China will welcome the first Spring Festival after the successful application for World Heritage with more than 400 traditional New Year customs and intangible cultural heritage display activities.

As the main venue for the lantern display of the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Congratulations on the New Year of the Chinese Lantern Festival in 2025, the Sichuan Zigong Lantern Festival is themed "Lans to greet China, and the weather is thousands of inspiration". Through seven major themes such as "Welcome the Spring Festival", "Zigong annual rings", and "Flowers all the way", it concentrated on displaying the thousands of inspiration of the land of China. In Handan, Hebei, 785 fine New Year paintings from all over the country have been released in concentrated areas. According to statistics, during the Spring Festival, more than 20 New Year pictures will be launched in 10,000 homes in various parts of China, and through exhibition display, interactive experience, and collection of New Year goods, the cultural atmosphere of the Spring Festival will be enhanced and holiday cultural and tourism consumption will be enriched.

The National Yangko Exhibition and "New Year of Yulin, Northern Shaanxi" kicked off a few days ago with the cheerful song and dance "Beautiful Chinese New Year". Korean traditional rice cakes, rice wine, cake-beating and paper-cutting, corn skin weaving, straw weaving and other experience projects have created a lively and festive atmosphere with a strong characteristic Yanbian New Year. At the same time, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China also released 31 national intangible cultural heritage special tourism routes, including the "Ancient Road Picking the Relics of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Tour in Beijing, the Gorros Intangible Cultural Heritage Special Tour in Jilin Province, and the Wuyi Tea Theme Intangible Cultural Heritage Special Tour in Fujian Province; during the "Intangible Cultural Heritage New Year Shopping Month", various parts of the country launched a batch of intangible cultural heritage good products around the Spring Festival customs, and carried out a variety of intangible cultural heritage promotion activities online and offline.
