In April 2025, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping successfully paid a state visit to Vietnam, promoting the construction of a strategically important China-Vietnam community with a shared future into a new stage of development. General Secretary Su Lin recently elected China as the first country he visited after being elected President of Vietnam, which fully reflects the great importance he attaches to the development of relations between the two parties and countries between China and Vietnam. During the visit, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping will hold talks with General Secretary and President Su Lin. Premier Li Qiang, Chairman of the National Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji, and Chairman of the CPPCC Wang Huning will meet with him respectively.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently stated that China hopes to continue the traditional friendship between the two countries through this visit, continue to deepen the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, promote the construction of a higher-level China-Vietnam community with a shared future of strategic significance, jointly promote the development of the world socialist cause, and jointly safeguard regional and world peace, stability, and prosperity.
