Gansu Jishishan transports mobile prefabricated houses to support Tibet disaster areas

On January 12, a new batch of 1,100 prefabricated houses coordinated and allocated by the working group of the State Council's earthquake relief command center were transported to the three townships that were the worst affected by Changsu, Quluo and Cuoguo. The 1,000 mobile houses transported by Gansu Province were also shipped from Jishishan County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture and were transported to the earthquake-stricken areas in Tibet one after another.

On December 18, 2023, a magnitude 6.2 earthquake occurred in Jishishan County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province. All sectors of society have extended a helping hand to help the affected people in Jishishan tide over the difficulties. After the earthquake, Jishishan purchased itself, received social donations and assisted construction units in various types of building houses, totaling more than 16,000 units, helping the affected people to make a temporary transition in the post-disaster reconstruction stage. In October 2024, the affected people in Jishishan moved into new homes one after another, and the transitional resettlement of prefabricated houses were recycled and stored. Now, some of these mobile prefabricated houses will continue to play a role in Tibet.

The hot food guarantee points in Changsuo Township have been guaranteed nearly 40,000 hot foods

In several hot food guarantee points in Changsuo Township, Dingri County, cooks from the Qinghai-Tibet War Station Department of the Tibet Military Region worked overtime to provide hot food guarantees for the affected people and military and local rescue forces. At four or five in the morning, the cooks at various hot food guarantee points had already started preparing breakfast. Breakfast ensures two dishes, eggs, milk and meat porridge; lunch four dishes and one soup, dinner stew or hot pot. From the first day, the quality of the dishes has been maintained at this level. In the village of Changsuo Township, which was severely affected, the troops transported hot food to the entrance of the village every day.

In the evening, a convoy delivering hot food to the affected people came to the village. Although strong winds and sandstorms were blowing on the scene, the affected people still lined up in a long queue to receive meals in an orderly manner. Up to now, the hot food guarantee points in Changsuo Township have provided nearly 40,000 hot food servings to the affected people and military and local rescue forces. In the future, as the production and living order in the disaster area gradually recovers, the hot food guarantee plan will continue to be optimized.
