The Tourism Bureau of the Macao SAR Government stated on the 14th that the Tourism Crisis Assistance Group went to Taichung City, Taiwan with the Macau Red Cross last night. After arriving, it immediately went to the relevant hospital to visit the families and injured of the Macau deceased in the gas explosion in the shopping mall, conveyed the Chief Executive's deep condolences, and listened to their demands, so as to coordinate the formulation of specific support plans and provide appropriate assistance with all efforts.

According to reports, two Macau residents were discharged from the hospital after treatment during the explosion. They said that the relevant shopping malls have sent staff to provide assistance, including hotel accommodation and arrangements for relatives and friends to go to the local area. Among the three hospitalized injured, one was hospitalized in the intensive treatment area, and the other two were in contact with their families and continued to receive treatment. The transportation of the bodies of two deceased in Macau will be coordinated and arranged through the local Red Cross Society and relevant departments.

The Macau Tourism Crisis Assistance Group and the Macau Red Cross personnel will continue to provide appropriate assistance to the families of the deceased and the injured in the local area, and maintain close contact with the families, relevant organizations and units, and continue to follow up on the situation.
