On the 26th, the national railway is expected to send 14.55 million passengers, and it is planned to add 2,091 passenger trains. Among them, the Beijing Railway Bureau of the National Railway is expected to send 1.27 million passengers, and plans to add 319 trains to Harbin, Taiyuan, Qingdao and other directions. The Guangzhou Bureau of the National Railways is expected to send 2.413 million passengers and plans to add 604 trains.
In order to cope with the cold wave and snowfall, railway departments in various regions have launched emergency plans to ensure smooth and safe Spring Festival travel. The Zhengzhou Bureau of the National Railway Corporation is in charge of the Neiluoyang Electric Affairs Section, and promptly activates the turntub snow melting heating device according to the snow conditions to quickly melt the snow on the line. The Jinan Locomotive Depot of the Jinan Bureau of the National Railway has increased its efforts to keep the return locomotives clean, and conducted key inspections on pantographs, locomotive walking parts, sand boxes and other components to ensure the supply of locomotives in rainy and snowy weather. In order to cope with heavy snowfall, as the transportation hub of Northeast and North China, an emergency snow removal commando was organized to carry out uninterrupted snow removal and cleaning of key locations that affect the safety of trains to ensure the safety and smooth flow of the main arteries of the Beijing-Harbin Railway.
As the Spring Festival holiday gets closer, starting from the 26th, the second wave of small peaks of returning home will appear in the country, and the proportion of expressway passenger buses has increased significantly. Affected by the cold wave weather in many places, as of 11:00, due to snowfall and road freezing, there were 172 road sections affected by Shaanxi, Henan, Gansu, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Sichuan and other areas.
In terms of civil aviation, 18,922 flights are expected to be launched on the 26th. In the 12 days before the Spring Festival travel rush (from January 14 to January 25), the average daily passenger transport volume of civil aviation was 2.2656 million, an increase of 8.6% from 2024.
