On January 27, President Xi Jinping called Alexander Lukashenko to congratulate him on his re-election as President of the Republic of Belarus.

  Xi Jinping pointed out that in recent years, I have maintained close exchanges with Mr. President, jointly planned and led the development of China-Belarus relations, and promoted the bilateral relations to the highest level of an all-weather comprehensive strategic partner. The mutual political trust between the two sides has continued to be consolidated, cooperation in jointly building the "Belt and Road" has achieved fruitful results, and multilateral cooperation has been fruitful. I attach great importance to the development of China-Belarus relations and am willing to work with the President to continue the traditional friendship between the two countries, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides, promote greater development of China-Belarus relations, and better benefit the people of both countries.
