CCTV News (News Network): Reporters learned from China Railway Group on April 16 that in the first quarter of this year, a total of 5,460 China-Europe freight trains were launched, delivering 546,000 TEUs of goods, a year-on-year increase of 29% and 22% respectively. China-Europe freight trains show a good trend of improving both quantity and quality.

In the first quarter of this year, the China-Europe freight train channel network gradually expanded. The railway department has strengthened the transportation organization of the China-Europe train across the Caspian Sea and tested the launch of a new trans-Baltic Sea route via St. Petersburg, Russia. Currently, China-Europe trains reach 235 cities in 26 European countries.
Customs clearance performance continues to increase. Through measures such as optimizing port transportation organization, port customs clearance time has been reduced to less than 30 minutes. In the first quarter, the number of China-Europe freight trains operating on the three western, central and eastern corridors increased by 19%, 26% and 49% year-on-year respectively.

Logistics products are constantly optimized. There are 22 China-Europe trains running every week with full domestic and overseas timetables, and the entire operation time is reduced by more than 30% compared with ordinary China-Europe trains with the same operating route.
Service quality has been steadily improved. International rail-road transport products can achieve one-stop settlement, convenient settlement, and the entire information can be traced. The "China-Europe Train High-Quality Development Index" is released every month to scientifically reflect the overall situation and direction of China-Europe train operations.
