Xi Jinping pointed out that you visited China as soon as possible after being elected as President of Vietnam, which reflects the great importance you attach to the development of China-Vietnam relations. Vietnam is grateful for the important political support provided by the Communist Party of China, the government and the people to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and is willing to continue its traditional friendship with China and promote the continuous development of the two countries’ comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and a community of shared future with strategic significance. Vietnam congratulates China on its successful completion of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and its historic achievements. Before the talks, Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan held a welcoming ceremony for Su Lin and his wife Wu Fangli at the square outside the east gate of the Great Hall of the People. When Su Lin arrived, soldiers lined up to pay tribute. Xi Jinping and Su Lin boarded the reviewing stand, the military band played the national anthems of China and Vietnam, and a 21-gun salute was fired in Tiananmen Square. Accompanied by Xi Jinping, Su Lin reviewed the honor guard of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and watched the procession. Children and teenagers held bouquets of flowers and cheered with the party flags and national flags of China and Vietnam.
