CCTV News: According to the State Post Bureau, according to estimates, China's express delivery development index in April 2025 was 443.2, an increase of 6.5% year-on-year. Among them, the development scale index, service quality index, development capacity index and development trend index were 571.9, 658.3, 224.1 and 69.3 respectively, an increase of 15.7%, 1.5%, 1.4% and 2.4% year-on-year respectively. In April, the express delivery market flourished, the service network energy efficiency was improved, the industrial collaboration capabilities were enhanced, and the intelligent and green development achieved positive results.

In April, the express development scale index was 571.9, an increase of 15.7% year-on-year. Judging from the sub-indicators, the express delivery business volume in April is expected to increase by 20% year-on-year, and the express delivery business revenue is expected to increase by 8.5% year-on-year. In April, express delivery companies deepened their efforts in Mingqian tea, fruits and vegetables, flowers, medicine, jewelry, auto parts and other fields, actively served modern agriculture and advanced manufacturing, opened up reverse delivery service channels, strongly supported the "old for new" of consumer goods, effectively met consumers' diversified delivery needs, and promoted the steady expansion of business scale, exceeding 50 billion pieces 18 days earlier than in 2024. In April, the average daily business volume is expected to be around 550 million pieces, of which during the Qingming Festival (April 4-6), a total of 1.399 billion express parcels were collected nationwide, an increase of 17% year-on-year.

In April, the express service quality index was 658.3, an increase of 1.5% year-on-year. From the point indicators, the public satisfaction of express delivery services is expected to be 84.8 points, an increase of 1 point year-on-year. In April, express delivery companies continued to deepen their service connotation, explore new models of cross-border cooperation, and promote a steady improvement in service quality and efficiency. First, optimize and improve the end experience. Express delivery companies focus on the service needs of community residents and innovate the "logistics + property" cooperation model. On the one hand, we will open up the community entry and exit system and express delivery order system to solve the last "100 meters" delivery problem and improve the timeliness of door-to-door services; on the other hand, based on express delivery collection and delivery services, we will work with the property to expand the service areas of community group purchase, home appliance cleaning and maintenance, old-for-new, and further extend the community service chain, improve the level of people-friendly services, and promote the diversified and convenient development of community services. The second is to actively lead low-carbon development. Express delivery companies actively adjust their transportation structure and develop green transportation. A number of intelligent new energy heavy trucks have been invested in the Yangtze River Delta to promote the low-carbon and intelligent upgrade of trunk transportation. Explore the construction of a hybrid distribution system of "bus trunk lines + express branch lines" to promote the intensive, comprehensive and shared development of "bus trunk lines + logistics" services.

In April, the express delivery development capacity index was 224.1, an increase of 1.4% year-on-year. First, continuously improve the level of terminal intelligence. Express delivery companies promote terminal unmanned equipment, deploy unmanned vehicles in Changsha, Yueyang, Wenzhou, Xiong'an, Dunhuang and other places, upgrade outlet equipment in Shanghai, Shijiazhuang, Dezhou and other places, and empower the terminal quality and cost reduction through sorting automation. The second is to continuously enhance aviation support capabilities. The express company's own airline has added one new all-cargo aircraft, and has resumed flights of several international all-cargo aircraft routes such as "Kunming-Mumbai", "Kunming-Chennai", and "Yancheng=Osaka", and the air cargo capacity has been continuously strengthened. Express delivery companies and Gansu International Logistics Group have jointly launched the "Lanzhou-Tashkent" all-cargo aircraft route to make up for the gap in all-cargo aircraft routes from Gansu to Central Asia and further improve the cross-border logistics network. The third is to steadily expand the international delivery market. Express delivery companies have put into production of overseas warehouses in Madrid, Spain, Incheon, Licheon, South Korea, and other places, and their infrastructure layout has been accelerated, and their radiation capacity to the Asia-Pacific and Europe is increasing.

In April, the development trend index was 69.3, an increase of 2.4% year-on-year. In May, May Day and Dragon Boat Festival and other holidays have arrived one after another. Several measures to stabilize the economy and promote consumption have been accelerated. The external environment continues to improve, and the industry's development momentum and growth potential will steadily strengthen.
