Vice Minister of Commerce Sheng Qiuping introduced that the 6th Consumer Expo will be held in Hainan Province from April 13 to 18 this year. This Consumer Expo is not only the "first exhibition" of my country's major exhibitions in the first year of the "15th Five-Year Plan", but also the "first show" after the island-wide customs closure of the Hainan Free Trade Port. With the joint efforts of all parties, all preparatory work has been basically completed, and domestic and overseas merchants have actively participated. Compared with previous editions, this year's Consumer Expo has the following three main highlights:
First, it is closely linked to "international" and gathers global consumer brands. This year’s Consumer Expo will feature more than 3,400 brands from more than 60 countries and regions, with international exhibits accounting for 65%, an increase of 20 percentage points from last year. Canada, the guest country of honor, will build a 400-square-meter national pavilion and organize nearly 40 Canadian companies to participate in the exhibition, displaying cosmetics, agricultural products, health products, pet food, etc., and planning a series of activities for the guest country of honor, such as the "Maple Flavors-Canadian Food Festival" and special supply and demand matchmaking meetings. Twelve countries (regions) including Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Ireland organized official delegations to participate in the exhibition, and Russia, Bulgaria and other countries set up national pavilions for the first time. Taking advantage of the island-wide exhibition and free trade port customs closure policy, 120 international pharmaceutical and device companies will participate in the Boao Health Exhibition Area this year; the number of participating yachts in the Sanya Yacht Exhibition Area is expected to exceed 200, with international brands accounting for 70%. We will launch the "Buy in China" international consumption season simultaneously with the Consumer Expo, continue to build the "Buy in China" brand, and continuously enhance the "international style" of the Consumer Expo.
The second is to focus on "high-quality products" and enrich high-quality consumer supplies. This year's Consumer Expo focuses on new consumption such as green, health, digital, and intelligence, and showcases cutting-edge technology products such as smart connected cars, smart homes, and AI glasses. It also adds a national fashion overseas pavilion, where exhibits such as porcelain, silk, traditional Chinese medicine, and cultural and cultural innovations are gathered together for a centralized exhibition. Showing the charm of trendy domestic products; Chinese time-honored enterprises will showcase the "treasures of their stores" inherited with ingenuity; 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and cities such as Shenzhen, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Changchun and other cities will participate in the exhibition with local consumer products and IP+ consumer creative products.
The third is to highlight the "first launch" and lead consumer trends. This year’s Consumer Expo will make every effort to build a platform for the launch of global consumer products, organize a series of global premieres, first Asia-Pacific exhibitions, and first shows in China, allowing more global goodies, cutting-edge technologies, and innovative achievements to be unveiled on the stage, making the Consumer Expo the "starting station" and "check-in place" for global trendy life. For example, new split flying cars, smart robots, smart cultural and sports bus stations, etc. This year’s Consumer Expo will also continue to focus on innovative achievements in the field of medical and health, and launch the new high-end medical and health product “Consumer Baby” that was born based on the advantages of the free trade port policy.
