The core CPI, excluding food and energy prices, rose by 0.8% year-on-year, and the increase expanded for three consecutive months. In July, service prices rose by 0.6% month-on-month, accounting for more than 60% of the total CPI increase. Driven by the peak summer travel season, the prices of air tickets, tourism, hotel accommodation, etc. have increased significantly month-on-month.
The continuous optimization of the domestic market competition order has led to a narrowing of the price decline in industries such as coal, steel, photovoltaic and lithium batteries. In July, the industrial producer price index (PPI) fell by 0.2% month-on-month, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, narrowing the month-on-month decline since March.
