On the top of the mountain with an altitude of more than 5,000 meters, photovoltaic panels spread along the mountain, like a lake connecting with the sky. These photovoltaic modules shine brightly under the sunlight.

This is Huadian Tibet Caipeng Photovoltaic Power Station, located in Caipeng Village, Naidong District, Shannan City, with a maximum altitude of 5,228 meters in the photovoltaic array. At the moment when thousands of families are brightly lit and their relatives are reunited during the Spring Festival, a group of "plateau shepherds" stick to this, lighting up warmth and hope for countless families.

At around 9 a.m., Yang Shengping, the head of power station operation and maintenance, and six colleagues, set off from the boost station at the foot of the mountain, climbed the slope along the curved mountain road, and came to the photovoltaic array area on the top of the mountain, and started a day's work.

"This is the first phase project, and the above is the second phase project." Yang Shengping said. The two phases of the project have a total of more than 240,000 photovoltaic modules. Their job is to check whether the photovoltaic modules, inverters, transformers and other equipment are operating normally.

"It took nearly two weeks for 7 people to inspect all the equipment, and it was all up to employees to inspect it one by one on foot," said Yang Shengping.

Yang Shengping and Danzeng Quda are in the same group. They first came to the No. 16 photovoltaic array area to clean up the dust on the photovoltaic panel, check whether the board surface is damaged or cracked, whether the bracket is loose or deformed, etc., and then go to the back of the photovoltaic panel and squat down to check the inverter and transformer. "If these two devices are faulty, the red light will be on," said Yang Shengping.

Yang Shengping and his colleagues walked nearly 5 kilometers every day and inspected more than 2,000 photovoltaic panels. Severe altitude sickness gave Yang Shengping a headache and sometimes had difficulty breathing, but he did not take a day off because of this.

"If you find one more fault, you can light up one more Spring Festival light," he said.

At around 13 o'clock, Yang Shengping and Dan Zengquda sat on the ground and took out the biscuits they carried with them to satisfy their hunger. After a short break, they were working again.

"Danzeng, look! This screw is loose." Yang Shengping stopped under a photovoltaic module and shouted. Hearing the shouts, Danzeng Quda, who was checking the line, immediately came to Yang Shengping, took out the tool from the tool kit, and tightened the loose screws.

"If the photovoltaic module bracket is not fixed in time, it may be knocked down by strong winds," said Yang Shengping. Danzeng Quda's notepad was closely recording their work: they had dealt with the problem of excessive temperature in the branch of No. 2 inverter No. 13, and replaced the photovoltaic module that was blown off by the wind in the group string of No. 9 inverter No. 1 inverter No. 4... At around 18 o'clock, Yang Shengping and his colleagues finished the inspection work that day and returned to the boost station at the foot of the mountain. Yang Shengping reported to the company about his work for the day, and then arranged for personnel to discharge the energy storage battery.

According to reports, the total installed capacity of the second phase of Huadian Tibet Caipeng Photovoltaic Power Station project reaches 150,000 kilowatts, and the annual power generation is expected to reach 245 million kilowatt-hours.

During the Spring Festival, Yang Shengping and his colleagues shuttled through the photovoltaic array every day, protecting the lights of thousands of homes.
