During the Spring Festival holiday, the express delivery business volume reached 1.15 billion pieces, an increase of 31% over the same period last year. Since February 5, the express delivery volume has continued to exceed 500 million pieces, with an average daily business volume of 540 million pieces.
Liu Jiang, director of the Strategic Planning Research Department of the Development Research Center of the State Post Bureau, said that from January to February, the development momentum of the express delivery market was relatively strong, and express delivery companies actively increased the number of road transport dedicated lines, increased investment in air capacity, and improved the timeline transportation of trunk lines.
Thanks to the addition of express delivery centers in the western region and the use of intelligent technology to optimize the transportation process, the growth rate of express delivery volume in Inner Mongolia, Tibet, Xinjiang and other places in the first two months was significantly higher than the national average.
