2025-05-17 source:CCTV News

As of 5:00 on May 14, the cumulative power generation of Datengxia Project exceeded 20 billion kWh, equivalent to saving 6.6 million tons of standard coal and reducing emissions of 16.5 million tons of carbon dioxide, helping the implementation of the national carbon peak and carbon neutrality strategy, and actively serving the high-quality economic and social development of the basin.

The Datengxia Project is a key control hub in the Pearl River Basin, integrating comprehensive benefits such as flood control, shipping, power generation, water replenishment and saltwater pressure and irrigation. Remarkable results have been achieved in ensuring flood control safety in the river basin and water safety in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promoting shipping development, and stabilizing power supply.

As the last stage of the development of ten water elevators in Hongshui River, the Datengxia Project is the main peak-shaving and frequency-modulating power station of Guangxi Power Grid. It has arranged a total of 8 largest axial flow paddle-type hydrowheel generator sets in China, with a total installed capacity of 1.6 million kilowatts. Since the first unit was put into production, Datengxia Company has deeply promoted the construction of the "six mechanisms" for water conservancy safety production risk control, continuously strengthened the lean operation and maintenance of equipment, dynamically optimized the operation mode of the unit, actively explored and mastered the operation rules of giant axial flow paddle units, and continuously improved the operation reliability and water energy utilization rate of the unit. The Datengxia Hydropower Plant has been operating safely for 1844 days, achieving steady growth in annual power generation for five consecutive years, becoming an important support for regional power safety.
