General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "The key to promoting reform and development lies in the Party, and the key lies in the majority of Party members and cadres who must have excellent work style. Practice has proved that the most important thing in building work style is to be serious." Seriousness is an attitude, a responsibility, and a ability. Only by integrating the word "seriousness" into the entire style construction can we truly achieve the transformation and improvement of work style.
In life, language ambiguity is sometimes necessary. But when it comes to work, if it becomes a habit, it becomes a problem worthy of vigilance. The most representative of this aspect is "can be done in theory" and "can't do it in principle". "It can be done in theory", which means waiting for a while or looking at it, and it does not necessarily take action and does not guarantee the final result; "it cannot do it in principle", actually leaves room and room for existence. This kind of vague expression reflects to a certain extent the style of being unserious and irresponsible. In theory, what should be done may become empty words on paper, and the elastic space in principle implementation may become gray space. In the long run, it will damage the credibility of the Party and the government.
"Regulations are regulations. Without adding the word 'trial', it is to show a firm attitude and show that this regulation is rigid." "Doing one thing well and then doing the second thing, so that everyone can feel that we can accomplish things and do things seriously. Only in this way can we win the trust of the people and the whole party."... Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has formulated and implemented the eight central regulations, and has continuously corrected the "four winds" with the spirit of nailing down nails, and promoted the new style of the party, government and social style. The reason why the formulation and implementation of the eight central regulations has become our party’s move to move and establish trust in the new era is to be serious and serious. At present, by carrying out learning and education on thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Central Eight Regulations and working hard to earnestly and strictly implement them, we can reduce the false and unhealthy trends that are "can be done in theory" and "cannot be done in principle" and more clean and upright spirits to do things and start businesses.
Firmly establish the simple style of writing "pursuing short, realistic and fresh, and making the words clear". Comrade Xi Jinping pointed out when working in Zhejiang: "In a certain sense, the style of writing also reflects the style of work. To improve the style of work, it is necessary to improve the style of writing." In actual work, some are keen on "light makeup and heavy makeup", making policy documents that should be easy to understand obscure and difficult to understand, making people ignorant; some are full of "impermetic" and are too macro-wide and not accurate enough, leaving "elastic space" and "room to maneuver" for subsequent implementation; some are "float grass and sparse bean seedlings", and thousands of words cannot find several specific deployments, which makes the grassroots fall into the embarrassment of "finding seedlings in grass"; and so on. All these "probably" and "almost the same" make people unable to understand and difficult to implement. When asked, they can only get "theoretical" results. When issuing policy documents, only by making the words clear and accurate can the credibility and execution of policies be enhanced, and the reform measures take root and achieve practical results.
Firmly establish the pragmatic style of "work hard and work to the end". The effectiveness of work style construction must ultimately be reflected in the practical actions to promote high-quality development and in the continuous improvement of the people's sense of gain, happiness and security. In this process, it is particularly important to be serious. The issues of the people's vital interests are often very specific and important, from the implementation of people's livelihood policies to the little troubles in the lives of the people, every problem is closely related to the people's living well-being. If we do not take serious care of our work and take a detour when we encounter difficulties, it will be difficult to understand the contradictions and the real needs of the masses. Only by upholding meticulous and seriousness, going deep into the grassroots, collecting first-hand information, and using scientific analysis methods can we formulate practical reform policies; only by focusing on reform tasks with a highly serious attitude can we ensure that policy implementation is not discounted or deformed, and that the dividends of reform and development truly benefit the general public; only by always maintaining the spirit of serious research, being brave to break through the mindset, and daring to try new methods and models, can we achieve new breakthroughs and open up new situations in reform and development.
Firmly establish the strong style of "strictly abide by iron rules and keeping the hard rules". The eight central regulations are long-term and effective iron rules and hard stipulations. Their vitality lies in execution, and the accuracy and effectiveness of execution depend on our seriousness. In reality, some party members and cadres regard a box of tea and a banquet as "human relationships", which opens a gap in the ideological defense line; in official receptions, some units break through the standards on the grounds of "work needs", and deal with inspections through "symbolically vacating" and other methods when rectifying office spaces. These are all manifestations of lack of awe of discipline and rules and lack of seriousness, which can easily lead to the loss of the bottom line. Party members and cadres should be honest and serious, imprint their compliance with rules and regulations in their hearts, not miss any details, not ignore any loopholes, keep the "steering wheel" of good use, and fasten the "safety belt" of integrity. At the same time, we will promptly discover and correct potential and tendency problems, resolutely rectify behaviors that are not implemented if orders are not implemented or prohibited, and strive to eliminate rent-seeking space and gray areas that are "not available in principle, but feasible in private", so as to truly internalize iron rules and hard levers in the heart and externalize them in actions.
