Lin Jian said that China has noticed the relevant reports. During World War II, Japanese militarism launched a war of aggression, committing numerous crimes, bringing serious disasters to the people of China and Asia's victims. Correct understanding and treating history is an important prerequisite for Japan to return to the international community after the war, the political basis for Japan's development relations with neighboring countries, and an important criterion for testing whether Japan can abide by its commitment to peaceful development.
However, to this day, the trend of beautifying the war of aggression and colonial rule in Japan is still emerging in an endless stream. It is evasive about the humanitarian crime of forcing the "comfort women". Some politicians have visited the Yasukuni Shrine, which has held Class A war criminals many times. Neighboring countries are strongly dissatisfied with this and are seriously concerned about it. Japan does not reflect deeply on its own aggression, but instead makes remarks about China and Russia's just call for justice to jointly defend the truth of history and strive to achieve world peace. This once again reflects Japan's wrong attitude towards historical issues, and China firmly opposes this.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. We urge Japan to reflect on its historical responsibilities deeply, learn from historical lessons seriously, and be responsible for history, and to completely cut off all acts of beautifying history, aggression history, adhere to the path of peaceful development, and win the trust of Asian neighbors and the international community with practical actions.
