On April 26, an important progress work meeting on the "Archaeological China" major project was held in Chengdu, Sichuan, and the phased results of the Shu Road archaeological survey were released.
Shu Road is not only a trunk line between the central and Bashu areas in ancient China, but also a linear cultural heritage that reflects the continuity, innovation and unity of Chinese civilization. After systematic investigation of the remaining information of Shu Road, the basic situation of the six main lines of Shu Road has been initially grasped at this stage, forming the most accurate "Shu Road data" at present. At this stage, a total of 2,073 kilometers of Shu Road were investigated, 1,034 cultural relics of various types were distributed along the route, and 297 newly discovered cultural relics were found.
Through this archaeological survey of Shu Road, a systematic survey was conducted on the preservation status of the Shu Road and the remains along the route. The phased achievements have helped the archaeology of Shu Road to deepen and promote the protection, inheritance and utilization of Shu Road heritage.
