CCTV News: In order to crack down on telecommunications and network fraud crimes in depth, China and Myanmar have continuously increased their law enforcement cooperation and continued to carry out concentrated clearance operations. Recently, Myanmar law enforcement agencies have handed over all more than 920 Chinese fraud suspects arrested in Dangyang, Mengxiu and other places in southern Shan State to China through the Daluo Port in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, my country. This is a new achievement in the continuous and in-depth crackdown on fraud crimes in the deep Myanmar area after the large-scale electronic fraud park in northern Myanmar region near our border was completely eradicated.
As the continuous deepening of the special work on combating telecommunications and network fraud crimes involving northern Myanmar, China and Myanmar have arrested more than 55,000 Chinese suspects involving fraud through law enforcement cooperation and crackdown operations, and the northern Myanmar film fraud crime group has suffered a heavy blow. However, in order to evade the crackdown, some fraudsters moved to the deep areas such as Dangyang and Mengxiu in Myanmar, built dens to start a new job, and continued to commit cross-border telecommunications and network fraud crimes against our citizens. In this regard, our public security organs have increased their research and judgment, provided clues to Myanmar in a timely manner, and assisted them in locking up a number of new telegram fraud dens. Since March 24, Myanmar has carried out multiple rounds of concentrated clearance operations, arresting more than 920 Chinese suspects of fraud, and seized a large number of crime tools such as computers, mobile phones, bank cards, fraud rhetoric scripts, etc. At present, the Ministry of Public Security has deployed relevant local public security organs to carry out case investigation and handling.
Relevant officials of the Ministry of Public Security said that China and Myanmar jointly combat telecommunications and network fraud crimes remain unchanged and their efforts remain unabated. The two sides will continue to advance the joint crackdown operation in depth, insist on keeping eye on and chasing, increase the intensity of case investigation and handling, resolutely eradicate fraud dens, make every effort to arrest criminal suspects, and severely punish telecommunications and network fraud crimes in accordance with the law. At the same time, the public security organs warned the telecommunications and network fraud criminals that overseas countries are not illegal, so they should recognize the situation, give up luck, return to China as soon as possible, and strive for leniency.
