The China Copyright Protection Center released the "2024 National Computer Software Copyright Registration Analysis Report", which shows that the national computer software copyright registration situation in 2024 hit a new record high.
In 2024, there were 2.827 million computer software copyright registrations nationwide, an increase of 330,000 compared with the previous year, an increase of 13% year-on-year, setting a new record high.
The growth rate of speech recognition, natural language processing, and intelligent analysis software in 2024 exceeded 30%, significantly higher than the overall growth rate of all categories of software. In emerging industries such as biomedicine, low-altitude economy, the Internet of Things, and humanoid robots, the growth rate of software has exceeded 40%. This shows that the application of cutting-edge technologies is accelerating the rapid development of related industries and injecting new impetus into economic growth.
In addition, the number of software growth in key industries such as manufacturing is particularly significant. In 2024, the number of software in the eight industries of manufacturing, education, medical care, finance, transportation, information security, electricity and e-commerce increased by 77,000 compared with the previous year, and the total software share increased from 30% in the previous year to 32%. Among these industries, the manufacturing industry performed particularly well, with its software accounting for the highest proportion, reaching 8.0%, which fully demonstrated the strong resilience of manufacturing as a pillar industry of the national economy and its important leading role in the digital economy era.
