Many innovative equipment such as welding robots and drone inspections were displayed in the exhibition. This set of fully automatic welding detection robots for oil and gas pipelines independently developed by my country can realize welding of all steel pipe diameters from 33 mm to 1422 mm, all-terrain operations such as mountains, swamps, and deserts, welding of all-type welds for combinations of straight pipes and bent pipes, and fully automatic welding ultrasonic detection.
The reporter saw at the exhibition that this set of internal testing equipment equipped with 1422mm ultra-large diameter natural gas pipelines can better identify the damage and stress status of the pipeline body and provide technical guarantees for the integrity management of ultra-large diameter pipelines. This large-diameter oil and gas pipeline flexible internal welding robot has functions such as one-click intelligent welding, long-distance independent walking in pipes, and continuous operation in mountainous terrain, which can greatly improve welding quality and efficiency.

This large-scale long-term gas pipeline network online simulation system adopts the independently developed "zoning incremental iteration method" algorithm, covering a 30,000 kilometers of natural gas pipeline network across the country. It can simulate operating status in real time and provide a "smart brain" for energy dispatching.
The reporter saw at the scene that the world's first volcanic rock gas storage reservoir solved the problem of many volcanic rock faults and poor sealing through dynamic simulation systems and intelligent control systems. The system adjusts the compressor parameters in real time to ensure efficient gas storage of the "underground palace" at a depth of 3,000 meters.
At present, in the field of oil and gas pipeline inspection, the integrated intelligent patrol of "sky and earth" has been fully applied. The "pipe network big model" uses artificial intelligence to empower the construction of 100,000 kilometers of oil and gas pipeline network and the optimization of resource allocation. The fourth line of the West-East Gas Pipeline uses digital twin technology to realize the full life cycle digital management of 3,000 kilometers of pipelines. The oil and gas pipeline network is accelerating its development towards digitalization and intelligence.
In 2025, my country will build 2,000 kilometers of new oil and gas pipelines
The reporter learned from the China International Pipeline Conference that the construction of oil and gas "one network in the country" is steadily advancing, and my country will build more than 2,000 kilometers of new pipelines in 2025.
Since this year, my country's oil and gas pipeline infrastructure has accelerated its construction. The main project of the Hulin-Changchun natural gas pipeline trunk line has been completed, the eastern section of Sichuan-East Gas Transportation Line 2 has been fully promoted, and the construction of the Fujian and Guangdong natural gas pipeline network connection project has started.
Wan Jinsong, deputy director of the National Energy Administration, said that as of 2024, the total mileage of China's oil and gas pipelines has reached 195,000 kilometers. The "national one network" with optimized layout, wide coverage and complete functions has been improved day by day, achieving high-quality, fair and open pipeline facilities, and the stability, safety and flexibility of energy supply have been increasingly enhanced.
At present, the localization rate of key pipeline equipment in my country has reached 97%, and more than 90% of the pipeline network technology benchmarking the world to achieve the leading and side-by-side level. my country's primary pipeline transportation capacity has climbed to 394 billion cubic meters, and the newly built gas storage capacity has 3.5 billion cubic meters, and the hard bottleneck of infrastructure supply guarantee capacity has been basically eliminated. In 2025, my country's new oil and gas pipelines will reach 2,000 kilometers.
