CCTV News: Since the beginning of the year, the popularity of humanoid robots has been rising. Recently, with the continuous increase in robot application scenarios, the robot rental market is very popular. Let’s see the reporter’s visit.
The Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, Hunan has been very lively recently. The robot is greeting tourists enthusiastically, guiding tourists to check tickets, take buses, and take photos. There are constant laughter on the scene. Many Chinese and foreign tourists are novel about this cultural and tourism experience. The person in charge of the leasing company said that since the humanoid robot received the goods in February this year, he has been leasing orders all over the country, and the schedule has been scheduled to May.

At present, there are many application scenarios for humanoid robots, and humanoid robots are also a necessity in laboratories in many universities.

Li Zhiwei, a major in mechanical engineering at Shenzhen University of Technology, said: "Before, he could only use workstations and servers to perform simulation experiments. With physical robots, it has a relatively large help. He can use the automatic control principles and programming languages he learned in daily life on robots, as well as some of its upper-level developments."
Li Zhiwei told reporters that since humanoid robots came to the laboratory, everyone's interest in learning has become stronger, and many people have begun to consider making work in the field of robots the goal of future job search.

In addition to scientific research and teaching, robots can also show their skills in the field of cultural media. The humanoid robot participated in the news reports as a special "reporter", holding up a microphone to interview citizens on the street, which attracted a lot of attention.

Shenzhen Satellite TV reporter Chen Xingyu said: "It will improve our work efficiency. For example, if you understand what passers-by on the street are concerned about, the robot will directly ask questions, and then through their answers, the robot will ask some questions about their own divergent thinking. The whole process is still quite novel."

The robots are moving quickly towards our daily lives. For manufacturers, it has reached the stage of "comparative mass production". During the visit to the Pearl River Delta region, the reporter learned that orders from multiple robot manufacturers have seen explosive growth. This exoskeleton robot with a self-weight of 1.8kg and a battery life of 3 to 5 hours has been installed in nearly 10 scenic spots across the country, and is rented to tourists for experience at a price of about 30 yuan per hour.

Industry insiders said that 2025 may become the first year of mass production of robots. With the continuous improvement and maturity of the industry chain, the cost of a humanoid robot has dropped from 3 million yuan in 2018 to hundreds of thousands of yuan today. Next, robot technology breakthroughs and market growth will usher in an explosive period, and prices will continue to fall.
