CCTV News: On November 18, 2024, a lifting machinery injury accident occurred in the 0207 plot project of Yuhuantangwan Future Community, Yuhuan City, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, killing 3 people. Tiansong Construction Group Co., Ltd. initially reported 2 deaths on November 22, 2024; 2 deaths were reported on December 20, and 1 seriously injured; 3 deaths were reported on December 23. After verification, the third injured person died on the morning of November 20 and was cremated in the funeral home. There was a false report in the major accident.

On March 11, 2025, the Office of the Safety Management Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development summoned the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, requiring profound learning of the lessons of the "11.18" major accidents, strengthen the responsibility for accident reporting, take effective measures to prevent safety risks, and resolutely curb the frequent occurrence of accidents.

The interview requirements, the housing and urban-rural construction system of Zhejiang Province should earnestly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s recent important instructions and instructions on doing a good job in production safety, fully recognize the current production safety situation, carefully analyze the causes of the accident, effectively play the role of warning and education in accident cases, adhere to problem-oriented approach, and effectively implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on production safety work and the Party Group of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development’s work requirements for construction safety.

The interview emphasized that the Taizhou City Housing and Urban-Rural Development Administrative Department should actively cooperate in the accident investigation and trace the responsible units and responsible personnel in the entire chain. The supervisors and other directly responsible persons who are directly responsible for false reports of the accident shall be punished according to law; Tiansong Construction Group Co., Ltd. and relevant responsible persons shall be punished more severely in accordance with law and regulations. We must straighten out the accident reporting mechanism and formulate targeted rectification measures for the accident information reporting work to ensure that the accident information reporting work is timely, standardized and effective, and effectively improve the quality and efficiency of accident information reporting.
