The reporter learned from China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Co., Ltd. that at around 3 a.m. on March 6, with the successful completion of the Maojiaba Institute's line dialing task, it marked that the Chongqing section of the Chongqing-Xiaxi High-speed Railway under construction was successfully connected to the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" railway network, one step closer to the official opening.

On March 5, many construction units dismantled lines, lanes, tamping, contact network dismantling, existing contact suspension removal, contact network suspension adjustment, insulation test and other processes were connected freely and completed in one go. According to the chief engineer of the Chongqing-Xiaxia High-speed Railway of China Railway Eighth Bureau, the construction has overcome difficulties such as high safety risks in the business line construction, tight construction periods, complex external environments, and poor night vision. Nearly 400 construction personnel and more than 10 large machinery have successfully completed the demolition of 0.55 kilometers of lines and the dialing line 0.48 kilometers, and the newly paved switch group, and the dialing task has been successfully completed.

It is understood that the relevant business departments and station sections and connecting engineering bureaus of China Railway Chengdu Bureau and Guangzhou Bureau Group Corporation have carried out equipment installation and wiring modifications in accordance with the established approval plan, 3 stations were modified in the transponder data, 41 stations were modified in the signal software, 8 stations were modified in the CTC center software, and the Chongqing-Xiaxia High-speed Railway dispatching station CTC center equipment was activated, and the equipment management boundary adjustment of Chengdu Bureau and Guangzhou Bureau were completed, and all process tests were passed in one go.

According to Yang Zhiyong, commander of the Wulong Command of the Chongqing-Guizhou Railway Co., Ltd., the Chongqing section of the Chongqing-Xiamen High-speed Railway was successfully connected to the Qianjiang-Changde-Changsha section of the Chongqing-Xiamen High-speed Railway that has been opened to traffic, and is ready for the next joint commissioning and testing of the Chongqing-Xiamen High-speed Railway to be launched.

The Chongqing section of the Chongqing-Xiaxia High-speed Railway is an important part of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" Zhongyuxia Channel in the national medium- and long-term railway network planning. It is led from Chongqing Station and ends in Qianjiang District, Chongqing, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After completion and opening, the fastest time for train travel from Chongqing's main urban area to Qianjiang District will be shortened from the current 4 hours to within 1 hour, which is of great significance to the in-depth implementation of the Yangtze River Economic Belt development strategy, improve the layout of the high-speed railway network, accelerate the formation of the main high-speed railway channel from Chongqing to Xiamen, and drive the economic and social development of the areas along the route.
