The third anniversary of the implementation of RCEP will promote high-quality development of regional economy
This year marks the third anniversary of the entry into force and implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP). According to customs statistics, in the three years since the implementation of RCEP, my country has accumulated imports and exports to other RCEP members of 38.57 trillion yuan, and the proportion of my country's total import and export volume has remained above 30%. In 2024, my country's imports and exports to other RCEP members were 13.16 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year, and regional cooperation vitality continued to be released. In Zhejiang, Ningbo Zhoushan Port opened a new RCEP route to Malaysia in February this year, greatly reducing the logistics costs of enterprises. In recent years, more and more domestic cities such as Qingdao, Guangzhou, Xiamen, and Dalian have added new routes specifically for RCEP member countries, further promoting economic and trade exchanges between my country and RCEP members, and the regional economy is moving towards a new stage of efficient and coordinated development.
