In 2024, the added value of the marine manufacturing industry was 318.29 billion yuan, accounting for more than 30% of the total marine product.

The international market share of the new sea ship orders, sea ship completion volume and handheld sea ship order volume all exceeded 50% for the first time in the revised total tonnage. The marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry continues to recover, and its international market share has remained the world's first for seven consecutive years, with an annual added value of more than 103.2 billion yuan, an increase of 9.1% over the previous year.

The marine tourism market continues to heat up, and the popularity of cruise tourism is rising. The marine tourism industry has achieved an added value of 1,613.5 billion yuan throughout the year, an increase of 9.2% over the previous year.

In 2024, the supply of marine energy continues to grow. The output of marine crude oil and natural gas increased by 4.7% and 8.7% year-on-year respectively. The increase in marine crude oil accounts for nearly 80% of the total crude oil increase in the country, and continues to become the main battlefield for my country's energy reserves and production. Offshore wind power has gradually entered a new stage of large-scale and clustered development. The annual offshore wind power generation has increased by nearly 30% year-on-year, helping the green and low-carbon development of the economy and society.

In 2024, the supply capacity of marine aquatic products will continue to improve. With the accelerated formation of marine aquaculture production clusters, smart fisheries have flourished, and the construction of "blue granary" has made positive progress. The added value of marine fisheries has reached 488 billion yuan throughout the year, an increase of 4.0% over the previous year. In 2024, the scale of seawater resource utilization continues to increase, the national seawater desalination output exceeds 400 million tons, and the industrial cooling seawater consumption exceeds 180 billion tons.

In 2024, the level of marine space resource guarantee will continue to improve. 4,123 new sea island projects have been approved nationwide, with an area of ​​263,000 hectares and an investment of 1.07 trillion yuan, effectively ensuring the demand for sea islands such as major national construction projects, oil and gas, wind power, and fishery production.

The deep-sea heavy-duty mining vehicle "Kaotuo 2" completed a 4,000-meter-level sea trial in the Western Pacific, successfully collected multi-metal crust and nodule samples, and conquered technologies such as high maneuvering and intelligent fine control in complex deep-sea terrain.

The second generation rotational orientation of the "Xuanji" drilling system independently developed by my country was first applied in the South China Sea, marking a breakthrough in my country's high-end oil and gas drilling technology.
