This route has also become the first new international route to Xi'an Xianyang International Airport after the T5 terminal of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport was put into use on the 20th.

At 8:40 am on the 23rd, an Airbus A320 aircraft with flight number MU873 took off from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport on time at the scheduled time, marking the official opening of the round-trip route between China's Xi'an and Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur.

This route operated by China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd. is MU873/874, and it has a round trip every day. This route stops through Kunming, an important city in southwestern China, and then flies to Kuala Lumpur. The opening of the route not only provides passengers from Shaanxi, Yunnan and Malaysia with more convenient travel options, but also builds a new bridge connecting central and western China and Southeast Asia, better serving regional economic and cultural exchanges.
