CCTV News: It is the peak period for overwintering livestock to raise lambs, and winter lamb production is carried out in an orderly manner in various parts of Xinjiang, and the animal husbandry and veterinary departments are actively doing a good job in guarantee work.

In Ganhezi Town, Wusu City, Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang, a herder's flock has laid more than 80 little lambs. Local animal husbandry technicians regularly come to the door to provide guidance on epidemic prevention and control.

It is understood that winter lambs born three months ago each year have become the main way for herders to increase their income and become rich due to their high quality, early slaughter and fast listing. In Woyimok Town, Burjin County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, local farmers have also ushered in the busiest annual lamb care and childbirth. Technical personnel sent by the animal husbandry department provide farmers with technical guidance on scientific child care, female livestock supplementation, and pen house disinfection.

According to statistics, there are about 20.8 million livestock (s) overwintering in pastoral areas in Xinjiang, of which 12.58 million livestock are arranged to winter in settlements and farmland stubble, and 8.22 million livestock are transferred to winter ranches.
