CCTV News: The reporter learned from the Ministry of Natural Resources that the overall land space master plan for my country's megacities has been approved by the State Council. At present, the preparation and approval of land and space master plans at all levels across the country has been basically completed, and the land and space planning work has entered the stage of full implementation.
This round of planning adheres to the bottom-line thinking and strictly implements the three control lines of arable land and permanent basic farmland, ecological protection red line, and urban development boundary issued by the national and provincial land space planning, and regards them as an insurmountable red line for adjusting economic structure, planning industrial development, and promoting urbanization. In terms of implementing national strategies, by strengthening regional coordination, giving full play to the role of regional development engines of megacities, leading the formation of a multi-center, networked, open and intensive regional development pattern, and promoting the formation of a new urbanization pattern with urban agglomerations and metropolitan areas as the main forms. In addition, this round of planning will also systematically optimize the land space development and protection pattern, coordinate agricultural, ecology, and urban space, and vigorously revitalize existing space by strengthening the integration with land policies, and promote the improvement of quality and efficiency of land use.
