This is a major revision of professional teaching standards based on the new version of the "Vocational Education Major Catalog" to adapt to the new requirements of industrial transformation and upgrading for the cultivation of vocational education talents.
The new standards released this time include 758 items, involving 52.9% of the 1,434 majors in the new version of the "Catalog", covering 82.1% of the total number of vocational education majors in 2024.
Xie Yonghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing Vocational and Technical University, said: "After the introduction of this new standard, it first stipulates which courses must be offered to students for a major and a course, and what kind of training requirements must be met."
The integrated design of secondary vocational colleges, higher vocational colleges and undergraduates for the first time
The new standard for teaching professionals released this time is the first integrated design of professional teaching in secondary vocational colleges, higher vocational colleges and undergraduates for the first time. In addition, the new standard strengthens the requirements for cultivating students' practical skills, and stipulates that practical teaching hours in secondary vocational and higher vocational colleges shall not be less than 50% of the total hours, and in principle, the vocational undergraduates shall not be less than 60%.
