Shandong Province vigorously develops the ice and snow equipment industry, and an ice and snow equipment industry cluster has emerged from mass sports to competitive competitions. A series of policy "combination punches" help enterprises move towards the high-end of the industrial chain.
A ski-simulated training equipment produced in Ningjin County, Shandong Province combines training with simulated skiing sports, which can simulate real ski scenes and movements, allowing users to conduct ski training indoors.
In recent years, with the heating of ice and snow sports, the local government has combined traditional manufacturing with ice and snow sports equipment to form an ice and snow sports equipment industry covering ski simulators, snow motorcycles and other products. The output value of the ice and snow industry in 2024 exceeded 5 billion yuan. In order to help enterprises accelerate scientific and technological innovation, the local area has invested 1.3 billion yuan to build a high-performance composite new materials industrial park, mainly producing more than 20 types such as simulated ice, ice hockey stadium fences, and dryland ice hockey stadium fences. Taking advantage of the east wind of the Winter Olympics, Shandong's "Smart" ice and snow equipment has been sold to more than 60 countries and regions, becoming a leading enterprise in the industry.
Zhang Jianjie, the county magistrate of Ningjin County, Dezhou City, said: "We guide enterprises to layout the ice and snow economic track, and at the same time establish cooperative relations with more than 60 countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Australia, etc., and undertake simulated ice projects in the United States, Uzbekistan and other countries, and continuously expand the international market map of the ice and snow sports industry."
At present, there are more than 100 ice and snow equipment manufacturing enterprises in Shandong, and have initially formed manufacturing clusters such as ice and snow sports equipment, ice and snow sports clothing, simulated ice and ski simulators. The application of these new technologies not only improves the quality and performance of products, but also injects new vitality into the development of domestic ice and snow equipment enterprises.
